As avid foodies, we’re always on the lookout for gems whether they be fine dining establishments or hole-in-the-wall joints. We don’t discriminate because good food is good food – Citron falls in the former category. Their restaurant, located on Quarry Lake at Greenspring in Baltimore County, offers fine dining in addition to a swanky bar and lounge. On top of that, there’s outdoor seating with a gorgeous lakeside view. Their menu, features contemporary American cuisine with a French twist and changes seasonally.
The highlight of the meal was definitely dessert. We were totally blown away by their key lime & tangerine marshmallow tart. Filled with layers of key lime, tangerine curd, roasted house-made marshmallow, and rhubarb molasses in a shortbread crust, it was easily one of the best desserts we’d ever tried in Baltimore. We didn’t get to photograph the spring sampler – a mini-coconut custard brulee, a garnet dark chocolate torte, a mint julip petit four, and a jasmine blueberry ice cream cone – but it was also amazing! Serious props to their pastry chef – we’ll definitely be back soon to indulge our cravings for all things sweet.
