When we brunch, we always make sure to go all out! Our latest post features noms from Silver, a fabulous farm-to-table restaurant in Bethesda, Maryland. They provide the freshest plates possible by partnering up with local farmers and purveyors. They’re open all day long and serve both healthy & splurgetastic meals.
We started our meal off with delicious drinks. We ordered a Heath Bar milkshake (made with breyers ice cream) and a Beachbum cocktail (made with bacardi, blackwell rum, apricot brandy, pineapple, and lime). We sipped on them while looking over their list of appetizers. It definitely took us a while, but we ended up going with Tuna Tartare and Creekstone Angus sliders.
Then, we ordered 3 different entrees to share: Caramel French Toast, Pan Seared Scallops, and Carolina Shrimp Picatta. If you’re a fan of all things decadent, the french toast will blow your mind. This plate of deliciousness was coated in maple sugar + salted caramel drizzle.
The scallops were cooked to perfection – flavored with MD Bay seasoning, lemon garlic sauce, feta, cilantro and served on a bed of wilted spinach, they came with mashed butternut squash and mixed vegetables. We didn’t get to take a photo of the shrimp dish, but that was also scrumptious. It was garnished with Italian parsley and came dressed in a lemon garlic caper sauce. By the way, both of these plates were under 600 calories (!!!!) All of their other “light” options sounded just as yum.
So, do we recommend Silver? Absolutely. Their food is on the pricier side, but you’re paying for quality so keep that in mind. Happy eating, nomsters!
