Scale
- About 30 wonton wrappers
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- 1 teaspoon Corn Starch
- Pinch of sugar and white pepper
- Cooking oil spray
Equipment
Instructions
- Make the filling. In a bowl, mix the ground pork, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, corn starch, sugar, and white pepper until combined.
- Pipe and wrap. Scoop the filling into a piping bag with no metal tip. Wrap a wonton wrapper around the open end of the bag, squeeze out a small amount of filling, and pinch the wrapper closed to seal.
- Repeat. Wrap the rest of the wontons, sealing dry edges with a wet fingertip if needed.
- Oil and load. Spray the wontons with cooking oil and arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry. Cook at 375F for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping and spraying again with oil halfway through, until golden and crisp.
- Serve. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Do not overfill. About a teaspoon per wrapper keeps them from splitting.
- Seal edges firmly, wetting dry edges with a fingertip so they grip.
- Spray with oil twice, before cooking and again after flipping, for even crunch.
- Cook in a single layer so the air circulates and they crisp instead of steam.
- For frozen wontons, air fry at 375F for 8 to 12 minutes straight from frozen.
- Reheat cooked wontons at 350F for 3 to 4 minutes to re-crisp.
