After two years of inactivity in SF, Off The Grid is reopening their Fort Mason event in April! If you’ve never been, it’s an event with tons of food trucks, vendors, music, and good vibes all the way around. I was invited to a media preview event this week and got to try a few food trucks that I’ll talk about here, but we also received a pamphlet with the full list of vendors expected to be at the various Fort Mason Off The Grid events this year, so be sure to read all the way through to see that!
Hula Truck makes great Hawaiian dishes and I got to try their Spam musubi and poke nachos. The Spam musubi was definitely the standout with ample sauce, but the poke nachose were tasty, too, with extra crispy wonton chips and a mildly spicy sauce. Look for them at upcoming events!
At Churreria I got the mini churros with regular filling, strawberry sugar and condensed milk, and they were really tasty! You can actually choose the filling, sugar and dipping sauce among many options, but it was really the quality of the churros that stood out to me. They were perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Definitely give them a try!
The Full Fort Mason Off The Grid Lineup
Here’s the lineup! We’re definitely excited to try everything out – especially the new trucks!
