I just had the chance to drop by an outdoor event in Hayward to try B’s Kitchen & Grill, and I’m super glad I drove out there! They make amazing BBQ plates along with some refreshing items like strawberry-infused lemonade and pineapple li hing. I was seriously blown away by how juicy their meats were and how delicious everything was. So let’s just get into it!
B’s Kitchen & Grill barbecues four different types of meats – tri-tip, kalbi, pork skewers, and chicken. They marinate all their meats for a couple days in advance, and they come out super moist and flavorful. Their marinade and sauces are sweet, so if you’re more a fan of just the meats’ flavor, this may not be for you. But if you enjoy sweeter sauces like teriyaki and BBQ sauces, you’ll really enjoy this.
The tri-tip was my favorite of all the meats, but you seriously can’t go wrong with any of them. They even kept the grilled chicken from getting dry! The kalbi is also really tasty. It’s got a nice marbling to it so it’s not too chewy, and the flavor is perfectly sweet and savory. Check out what everything looks like below!
I’ve eaten a lot of mac salad in my day, and most honestly taste pretty similar. So I was shocked when took my first bite of B’s Kitchen & Grill’s version of the tasty side. My tastebuds were hit with a subtly sweet and citrusy flavor that I wasn’t expecting, and it turns out that they make theirs with pineapple! It’s on the creamier side, as well, which I’m all about.
The folks behind B’s Kitchen & Grill are also some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet! All of us being Bay Area natives, we had fun, nostalgic conversations about the Hyphy Movement and growing up here. So I can pretty much guarantee you’ll have an amazing overall experience from placing your order to devouring your plate. Be sure to check out their Instagram to see where they’re going to pop up next, and definitely swing by to grab some BBQ!
