Description
Crispy ramen toast is a 4-ingredient air fryer snack: a Shin Ramyun block spread with Kewpie mayo, sugar, and seasoning, then air fried into a golden, shattering crisp.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pack Shin Ramyun
- 2 tbsp Kewpie mayo
- 2 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 seasoning packet (from the ramen)
Equipment
- Air fryer
- Butter knife or the back of a spoon
Instructions
- Prep the block. Open the pack of ramen but leave the noodle block whole. Add the Kewpie mayo, sugar, and half the seasoning packet on top.
- Spread it. Use a knife to spread the mayo mixture evenly across the entire ramen block.
- Air fry. Place the block in the air fryer and cook at 340F for 5 to 7 minutes, until deep golden and crispy.
- Snack. Let it cool for a minute so it crisps up, then break it into pieces and dig in.
Notes
- Spread the mayo mixture evenly so the whole block crisps at the same rate.
- Half the seasoning packet is plenty on a dry snack; the full packet can be too salty.
- Air fryers vary, so start checking at 5 minutes and pull it at deep golden, not dark.
- Cool completely for maximum crunch; it keeps 3 to 4 days airtight at room temp.
