Description
Dubai chocolate covered strawberries wrap fresh berries in pistachio cream and crunchy toasted kataifi, then a dark chocolate shell for the viral Dubai chocolate flavor in one bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 Strawberries
- 7 oz Pistachio Cream
- 1/2 cup Toasted Kataifi
- 5 oz Dark Chocolate Melting Wafers
Equipment
Instructions
- Mix the filling. In a small bowl, stir the pistachio cream and toasted kataifi together until the kataifi is fully coated.
- Melt the chocolate. Add the dark chocolate melting wafers to a microwave-safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir until smooth, then heat in 10 second bursts if needed.
- Coat and freeze. Line a small baking pan with parchment paper. Coat each strawberry in a thin layer of the pistachio kataifi mixture, then freeze for 10 minutes.
- Dip in chocolate. Dunk each coated strawberry in the melted chocolate, set it back on the parchment, and freeze for a few minutes until the shell hardens.
- Serve. Eat them cold and enjoy the crunch.
Notes
- Pat the strawberries completely dry before coating. Any water will make the chocolate seize and slide off.
- Buy pre-toasted kataifi to save time, or toast raw kataifi in a dry pan until golden and let it cool.
- Use melting wafers, not chocolate chips. Chips are made to hold their shape and will not give you a smooth dip.
- Keep the coated berries in the freezer right up until you dip so the filling stays put.
- These are best the day you make them, while the shell is snappy and the berry is fresh.
