Sushi lovers rejoice! If you haven’t heard of or tried Edamami, you are missing out! This is the go-to spot for high-quality sushi at a very affordable price.
Edamami is one of those family-opened, neighborhood jewels perfect for a casual dinner on a Wednesday night or even a romantic evening. The menu has something for everyone – full of fresh, decadent sushi options, salads, appetizers, dinner entrees, and so much more! Edamami is located in the small San Diego community of Tierrasanta serving the best sushi.
The sushi rolls, sashimi, and nigiri are my go-to choices! The top 3 rolls I highly recommend are the S&S, Tierrasanta, and Spicy Scallop. The rolls are loaded with fresh fish and the “Special Rolls” are topped with even more mouthwatering fish. Not only is the size, quality, and flavor out of this world, the prices are unbeatable. Edamami offers 20% off sushi and rolls (Minimum 3 orders for 20% off each item)! I recommend any of the following:
- S&S: crab, spicy scallop, cucumber, avocado, gobo / top: jalapeno, spicy mayo, eel sauce, salmon, green onion, masago
- Tierrasanta: spicy tuna, cucumber, gobo / top: salmon, masago, eel sauce, spicy mayo, green onion
- Spicy Scallop: spicy scallop, cucumber, cucumber, gobo, crab
- Rainbow Roll: crap, cucumber / top: tuna, salmon, shrimp, avocado, izumidai
Edamami has over 20 Maki and Uramaki rolls and 35 “Special Rolls” to choose from. The unique part of this suburban sushi spot is the variety of different fish, ingredients, and toppings they put together! It really makes you appreciate the different flavors and textures of all the ingredients.
The sashimi and nigiri at Edamami is a buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. I’m a salmon lover myself, but there is a wide assortment of other fish to choose from.
Edamami is currently open during limited hours for outdoor dining under beautiful lights. They also offer awesome takeout and weekly specials! Follow Edamami on their IG page, @edamamiexperience for more details! Address: 5950 Santo Rd San Diego – located in the plaza right off of the 52 freeway
