With every meal purchased, you help feed a refugee in need. They’ve partnered with the World Food Programme to deliver aid to people all over the globe so you can feel good about eating good.
Although they’re known for their affordability – nothing on their menu’s over $5 – their food’s all-natural, fresh and sourced locally. Their most popular item’s their $3 falafel sandwich, and it’s made with lettuce, red cabbage pali salad, tabouli, tahini and red sauce on a freshly baked pita.
You have the option of getting a salad bowl for an extra buck or enjoying their new vegan shawarma for $5. Stuffed with lettuce, spices, pickles and mazbout, this epic handheld is out of this world. And no, they don’t use impossible meat. And yes, it’s absolutely delicious.
Whether you get their shawarma or falafel, one thing’s for sure, their zaatar fries are an absolute must. They’re easily some of the best fries you’ll ever have the pleasure of devouring, and they’re only $3! Enjoy these savory ‘toes along with your “sammie” for the ultimate mid day pick-me-up.
For those of you interested, they have locations all over the world – we’re talkin’ Mexico City, London, LA and of course, the DMV – so definitely make sure to hit ’em up whenever you can. Their Georgetown spot will forever be our go-to, but their new location at the Wharf is gorgeous as well.
