Gravitas’ Rooftop Bar Reopens This Wednesday

Celebrate the gorgeous weather by joining the amazing team at Gravitas for a beautiful evening out.  Make a reservation for their stunning rooftop bar, the Conservatory, to dine and imbibe with a view.  Located in Ivy City, DC, they offer amazing cocktails along with a la carte dining with dishes ranging from $16-$46.

We recently had the opportunity to photograph/sample their dishes, and let’s just say, you’re in for a real treat.  Some of our personal favorite dishes were their Grilled Octopus, Spring Burrata Salad, Grilled Lamb Porterhouse, and Fried Whole Bronzino.  It’s no secret that we love Gravitas though so get whatever you please.  Their entire menu’s banger after banger so you really can’t go wrong.

For those of you interested, the Conservatory also offers a 3-course prix fixe for $80 a person.  Gravitas’ main tasting menu is $150 so this is definitely the more affordable option; menu items vary though so take a look to see what you prefer.  In addition to the aforementioned menus, there’s also Chef’s Counter and Taste of Gravitas.

The former’s a 15-course tasting menu that takes about 3 hours – tickets are required ($210pp) and you have the option of adding a wine pairing for $170.  We haven’t had the chance to experience this yet, but it’s on our list for sure.

The latter’s kind of like a Michelin star early bird special.  It’s available Thursday through Sunday between 5-6PM, and it’s $80 per person.  Like the Conservatory prix fixe, this option’s 3 courses.

If you still don’t feel comfortable eating out, no worries.  They’re still offering takeout on the regular so hit up their website to browse their pickup/delivery offerings.  Dinner for two’s priced at $110 and selections include everything from Crispy Duck Confit Leg to Grilled Ora King Salmon.  Sounds delish, right?
