Scale
- For the sliders
- 12 King's Hawaiian rolls
- 1/2 cup Primal Kitchen unsweetened pizza sauce
- 16 oz shredded mozzarella
- 12 pepperonis
- For the garlic butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp oregano
Instructions
- Prep the rolls. Preheat the oven to 350F. Line a baking pan with parchment and slice the 12 rolls lengthwise into a connected top and bottom half (do not pull them apart). Place the bottom half in the pan.
- Make the garlic butter. Melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl, then mix in the minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and oregano. Brush a third to half of it over the bottom half of the rolls.
- Sauce. Spoon the pizza sauce on top and spread it evenly.
- Cheese. Layer the mozzarella evenly across.
- Pepperoni. Add one pepperoni per roll over the cheese, or more if you like.
- Top. Set the top half of the rolls back on and brush with the remaining garlic butter.
- Bake. Cover with foil to protect the rolls and bake 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake 2 to 3 minutes more.
- Serve. Pull apart and enjoy.
Notes
- Covering with foil keeps the tops from burning while the cheese melts; uncover at the end for color.
- Slice into individual sliders only after a few minutes of resting so the cheese sets.
