Eat like royalty in the comfort of your home by choosing Mexicue. We recently got their $90 taco kit, and it was honestly one of the best decisions we’ve made all month. This set feeds a minimum of 3-4 people, and it comes with smoky chicken, brisket, pulled pork, salsa verde, creamy chipotle, spiced corn nuts, jack cheese, rice, beans, cheese, corn salsa, lettuce and corn tortillas.
We split this between the two of us so we had food for dinner…and the next day as well. Pro tip, make sure you ask for extra tortillas. They’re obscenely tasty, and they give you a lot of meat so you’re definitely going to want more. In addition to the aforementioned set, we also got watermelon radish chips, charred jalapeño guacamole, guajillo chili salsa, and mole dusted brownies.
If you’re sharing with 4 or more people, we recommend getting their dip foursome, which includes their guac, salsa (verde or guajillo chili), poblano queso and black bean dip. It comes with a generous portion of house tortilla chips, but you can sub out for watermelon radish instead for a small fee of $3.
Now, their mole dusted brownies? Insaaaaaanely delicious. You need to save room to experience this goodness firsthand because they’re guaranteed to make you smile. They’re super chocolatey, which we personally loved. They have a fudgey consistency with copious amounts of chocolate inside.
Located on 1720 14th Street in Washington, DC, Mexicue’s open for dine in and takeout Monday through Thursday from 12-9PM, Friday from 12-11PM, Saturday from 11-11PM, and Sunday from 11-9PM. If you feel comfortable dining indoors, they’re also offering some bomb happy hour deals so make sure you take advantage.
