Pitamore: The Best Shawarma in Baltimore

I’m SUPER excited to tell you guys about a new spot I just tried in Baltimore.  The Pitamore I went to is located on 519 West Pratt Street in Baltimore, right near Potbelly.  My dear friend Louie (aka @bmorefood) has been raving about their food, and I’m stoked to tell you that their noms fully lived up to the hype!

They’re open from 10AM-7PM Monday through Friday, and FYI they get super busy during lunch.  Luckily, the line moves quickly because they have a really efficient process in place.  They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but their food travels beautifully so takeout’s a solid option as well.  I haven’t been to their second brick and mortar yet, but they have a spot on Light Street as well if that’s more convenient.

As for food, their menu’s short and straightforward.  I’m a big fan of “bowls” in general so their mixed shawarma (chicken, lamb and beef) plate’s my go-to.  All of their proteins are great though so go with whatever sounds yummiest.  Highly, highly recommend their nuggets, but their falafel’s tasty, too.

You have the option of getting unlimited (!!!!!!) toppings so definitely load up like crazy!  They have everything from fried eggplant to Mediterranean salad so there’s a lot of solid stuff to choose from.  They also have 4 sauces available – I liked their tzatziki and garlic the best, but it’s all great.  Pro tip:  if you go with their pita sammie, make sure you ask for sauce on the side because things can get a little soggy, unless you’re eating everything right away!

I’m a sucker for desserts so I couldn’t leave without getting some sweets.  Louie recommended that I try the chocolate mousse, and I’m really glad I did because it was so lovely; think decadent but light, with an exquisite texture I just couldn’t get enough of.  Also, it didn’t hurt that it was only $2.99, which is crazy affordable since they give you a fairly large cup of it.

Alright friends, I hope you enjoyed my latest Charm City food post!  Let me know what you thought of Pitamore by leaving a comment below, and click through here to see more from my Baltimore adventures.  Until next time, friends!  Happy eating.
