Rambler: A Little Old With the New

Sometimes it’s awesome to just have traditional brunch dishes. They’re classic, delicious, and often you’re craving those familiar flavors. Other times, you’re looking for something new and unique because your taste buds want to be surprised. Well, today’s your lucky day because Rambler in San Francisco, CA somehow combines both sensations into one menu and we had a blast chowing down on everything. Check out that spread!

We’re starting this thing off with the unique! Our favorite dish of the morning at Rambler was definitely the Chorizo Benedict with Cherry Tomato, Chorizo, Poached Eggs, and Chipotle Hollandaise Sauce. The eggs were perfectly done, and when split, flowed all over everything else, which really brought the whole plate together. The cherry tomatoes were cooked just enough to be a little soft, and the sauce was a little spicy and a lot of amazing.

On the more traditional side, the Rambler Granola with Greek Yogurt, Seasonal Fruits, and Chia Seeds was 100% spot on! This dish shows that using quality, fresh ingredients and keeping things simple can truly pay off in the end. The fruit was ripe and ready to eat, the granola was crunchy and not at all soggy from the yogurt, and even the chia seeds added a nice, subtle hint of flavor and texture that made a difference.

Next to come out was the awesome Smoked Salmon and Fromage Blanc Toast with Pickled Red Onions, Caper & Parsley Salad. It was light and flavorful, the toast was crispy, and the salad was refreshing. It all combined to make one super bomb plate of nomtasticness.

To finish off our brunch, we had the Roasted Turkey Club with Smoked Bacon, Red Onion, Avocado, and Aioli. Again, the freshness of the ingredients made this one good, but the aoli sauce was what totally spiced things up and made this sandwich unique. If you’re looking for something hearty and filling, look no further than this!

Till next time, Nomsters!
