Oh mah god, Nomsters. We recently discovered SecreTea on 1959 E Street NW, and we can’t get enough. Whether you love boba or not, it’s bound to be love at first sip. Plus, they just dropped 6 new menus for Halloween/fall so that’s yet another reason to head over stat.
SO, here were our favorite items from our visit: a delightful mango bunny drink and this “blood bag.” Sweet and refreshing, they topped the former with cheese foam (YUM) and the cutest marshmallow bunny. Definitely make sure to give it a nice pat when you get it!
The “blood bag,” made with assam black tea with lychee juice and cranberry juice, was super fun to drink, and it was reallllly delicious. They had a slew of yummy new beverages available though. Next time, we want to try the pumpkin harvest (brown sugar boba with pumpkin spice milk tea) and jack-o-lantern (fresh smashed pumpkin with secret milk, espresso and whipped deliciousness).
They also had this festive brownie available! We didn’t realize they also had food or else we wouldn’t have eaten beforehand. In addition to a limited sandwich menu, they also have fancy croissants with some interesting flavor combinations.
The rose pistachio and almond matcha stand out for sure, but the boba croissant? Game over. Apparently it’s honey grilled with brown sugar boba and cheese foam. Um, who else is pumped? They also offer boba bowls as well…which isn’t as exciting as a boba croissant, but still exciting nonetheless.
Alright Nomsters, we hope you enjoyed reading all about SecreTea on our latest. For more on DC eats, click here and remember to check back every Monday, Thursday and Saturday for fresh new content. Until next time, friends. Happy eating!
