Thoughts of TTT’s New Menu Additions

A few weeks back, TTT generously invited us in to try some of their new menu items.  It was actually our first visit, so we were excited to see what they were all about.  We got a medley of items for lunch, and although everything was solid, their newcomers definitely reigned supreme.

Where is TTT located?

For those of you interested, they have two locations in the DMV area: one in Silver Spring, MD, one in Clarendon, VA.  We went to the MD brick and mortar, and we LOVED the second floor.  We thought that interior was much cuter (and more instagram worthy) than the patio or first floor, but you guys let us know what you think when you go.

What to order at TTT Silver Spring?

In terms of food, we highly recommend getting a slew of appetizers to share.  Musts are as follows:

  • tempura shrimp:  served with sweet chili sauce, yuzu crema and TTT salt
  • double fried chicken wings:  spiced with ttt furikake and crema fresca.
  • grilled chicken empanadas:  served with mango curry & fresh mango salsa
  • Maryland crab dip:  blue crab, baby spinach, crispy chicharron munster cheese, chili butter ciabatta toast

All of the aforementioned dishes were winners so get ’em all if you’re looking to indulge.  And no, we can’t pick favorites so go with whatever you’re in the mood for.

Since we got so many dishes to start, we only got one main to share.  We decided to try their mushroom quesadilla, and that was just fine.  To be honest, we probably wouldn’t get that specific dish again, but we’d definitely go back for their finger food + drinks.

On another note, have any of you tried their tacos yet?  Let us know if they’re worth getting the next time ’round.  And if you have a sweet tooth, you gotta get an order of their churros.  These were insanely tasty, and they came out pipin’ hot with chocolate and cajeta sauce on the side.  Big fan, highly recommend.
