Indian Fish and Chips? YES PLEASE!

I couldn’t be more excited to tell you guys about London Curry House.  I went for brunch last Sunday, and the food was crazy delicious.  It was really quiet though which kind of worried me, but after experiencing their food, I’m convinced people just don’t know about this new spot on U Street yet.

As per usual, my foodie frand and I got a huge spread to share, with everything from tandoori wings to Kofta curry.  My favorite dish was definitely the fish and chips though!  I honestly can’t recommend it enough.

It’s cooked to flaky perfection and the fries are SO flavorful.  I’d happily fight through DC traffic to enjoy this again.  It comes with this amazing curry sauce that’s perfect for dipping.  Definitely make sure to give it a try!

Their nargisi kofta was yet another standout.  I actually thought it came in a bowl of saag, but apparently it was bell pepper mixed with yogurt.  The presentation of this dish was gorgeous, but I’m not a huge fan of hard boiled eggs so I wasn’t sure how I’d like this?

Turns out, it’s effin’ delicious.  Each egg’s wrapped in meatball, and the curry’s damn flavorful.  I found this entree to be unique and yummy!  Have you guys had this before?  Let me know by leaving a comment below – I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

I didn’t get to try their chicken tikka masala this time around, but it’s definitely on my list.  I did experience their lamb rogan josh though, and it was solid.  It wasn’t as good as their kofta or fish and chips IMO but still enjoyable nonetheless.  I was pretty much stuffed to the brim at this time so I didn’t get any dessert, but I’ll make sure to update y’all if that changes.

PS. as cute as the interior is, you’re gonna want to bundle up because it’s kind of cold inside.  I didn’t bring a thick enough coat, and I was pretty chilly.  PSS.  make sure you snap a photo inside their phone booth before you leave.  It makes for a fun post on the ‘gram!

Alright friends, I’m keeping it short and sweet for today’s post.  Let me know what you thought of my latest review by leaving a comment below, and head to this tab to see more on DC eats.  Until next time!
