Kit Kats are one of those treats where we get extra excited whenever a limited run flavor is released because they’re always fascinating and usually delicious! In the past we’ve seen everything from azuki bean sandwich to wasabi to rum raisin and even strawberry cheesecake. Most of these flavors only get released in Japan, but occasionally we’re lucky enough to see one here in the States.
One of our favorite flavors of all time was a limited edition from a few years back that was blueberry cheesecake and they totally nailed it. Aside from the crunchy wafer, it was like biting right into a decadent cheesecake. The blueberry flavoring even tasted pretty darn natural as apposed to the usual artificial candy flavoring.
Now, the newest flavor in the works for Kit Kat is Apple Pie, which is scheduled to be available for a limited time starting in July! If their history of quality is any indicator of what’s in store for us with this new product, we can’t wait to give it a try!
The Apple Pie Kit Kat bars will have the usual crispy wafers that will be covered in an apple pie flavored white chocolate mixed with some Fall spices to really bring out that home-cooked pie taste.
