Baltimore Seafood: The Best Seafood Boils in Maryland

Very, very excited to tell you guys about my latest tasting experience at Baltimore Seafood.  My dear friend @bmorefood recently threw an event there, and I had a blast eating and catching up with some of my favorite Charm City foodies!  To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of seafood boils in general, but I thought their noms were on point.

We started off with a slew of appetizers.  There were 10 of us so we got to sample quite a bit!  The spread included sweet potato fries, hush puppies, mozz sticks, fried calamari, crab bites, chicken fingers and fried shrimp.

Everything was really good – fresh and fried to crisp perfection – but standouts were the fried shrimp, crab bites and sweet potato fries.  I especially loved the sriracha mayo that came with!

As for the seafood boil itself, they brought various bags/trays for us to enjoy so I’m not really sure how pricing worked. The smallest option available on their menu’s “build-a-catch.”  You customize your boil bag by picking a minimum of two proteins, one sauce, spice level + optional add-ons.

Everything comes with corn and potato so that’s a plus.  I recommend the shrimp head-on, lobster tail and king crab legs.  I know that all sounds hella expensive, but you’re at a killer seafood restaurant so ball out and treat yourself!

As for sauces, we got to try their cajun and garlic butter; both were good, but the cajun was definitely the star of the show.  It was so ridiculously flavorful!  In fact, so much so, I low key wish I could just bathe in said magic.  Pro tip: I highly recommend getting a side of rice or noodles with your food because you’re gonna want to pour all that cajun goodness on top.  You can thank me later.

For those of you interested, they also offer two other BIG boils.  You got “the BIG catch” for $69 and “Poseidon’s Catch” for $120; the latter comes with a pound of king crab, 2 lobster tails, 1lb of head off shrimp, corn, potato and TWO fried cheesecakes for dessert.  They also have daily specials available in addition to happy hour deals so make sure to check their site before making the trip!

Highly, HIGHLY recommend this Baltimorean gem – make sure y’all go and let me know what you thought by leaving a comment below.  In the meantime, click here to see more from Maryland, and say tuned for more nom content coming your way.  Until next time, friends!  Eat all the things.
