The combination of convenience and quality is unmatched when it comes to Nespresso compared to other competing brands. I’ve always been a Keurig guy (see our list of the best Keurig Coffee Makers), but that’s because being cost-conscious is most important to me, and I’m much more of a “drink coffee for the effect and not the experience” kind of person. But if you prioritize flavor and texture and want a truly luxurious experience each morning, Nespresso is BY FAR the better option.

We’ve done our homework, tested each product, and compiled our list of what we consider to be the best Nespresso machines available on Amazon based on different categories. Check them out and hopefully you’ll find one that fits exactly what you’re looking for!

Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by Breville

Best for Small Spaces

If you live in a small apartment, or you just lack counter space in your kitchen, the Essenza Mini is perfect for you. There are no frills or crazy features on this one, but it still makes an amazing shot of espresso every time and has a tiny footprint so you can enjoy your morning drink while not feeling to cramped for space. You have two basic controls to select between a shot of espresso and a 5 oz cup, and it heats up the water to the correct brewing temperature in about 30 seconds. And the water tank holds 20.3 oz of water.

Nespresso Original Espresso Machine by De’Longhi

Best Budget Nespresso Machine

This is one of their classic machines that brews a great cup of espresso, but takes up a bit more space than the compact Essenza Mini above. You’re able to choose between a shot of espresso and a 5 oz cup just like the Essenza, but this machine heats up the water in about 25 seconds, which is 5 seconds faster than the Essenza. The water tank is slightly larger, as well, which holds 24 oz.

Nespresso Creatista Plus Espresso Machine by Breville

Best All-In-One Nespresso Machine

Espresso is fun and all, but if you really want to level up your morning cup, the Creatista Plus has a built in milk frother so you can quick and easily make yourself all the lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, etc. your heart desires. It also gives you three size options instead of just two – 0.5 oz, 1.35 oz, and 5 oz. There’s a built in LCD display along with the controls on the top, and in my opinion, that stainless steel design just looks classic and awesome. It’s definitely more expensive than the other options, but would absolutely be worth it if you like those milky, creamy espresso drinks and want to basically automate the process of making them in the morning to save you some time.

Nespresso VertuoPlus Deluxe Espresso Machine by Breville

Best for Variety of Sizes

The Vertuo line is the newest addition to the family of Nespresso machines, which has a some awesome features and even some new technology. Probably the main benefit of this new system is the versatility. You’re able to make 4 drink sizes (single shot, double shot, 5 oz, and 8 oz) so this enables you to enjoy a larger breadth of drinks – from an espresso up to a cup of coffee – on any given day depending on what you’re feeling like.

Another thing to mention, which is both a pro and a con, is that this machine uses a different style pod than the original Nespresso machines. What’s cool about them is they’re aluminum and have a barcode under the lip that’s read by the machine so it knows exactly how much water to use and how to prepare the drink. This means you don’t have to worry about accidentally using the wrong settings and messing up your morning coffee. The issue here is that, since these pods are a much more recent development, the selection is far smaller than that of the original Nespresso Pod design. So, while you get a machine that can brew multiple drink sizes, you have fewer roasts to choose from.

Personally, I love having the option to make a full-on coffee to sip on at my home office or a quick espresso shot if I’m on the move, so this would be my top recommendation. But, if you’re more of a coffee connoisseur or variety of flavors and roasts is more important to you, then one of the original machines mentioned above is probably the better choice.
