What’s up, Nomsters! Summer is the time to break the grill out in the backyard and fire up some amazing BBQ! With this post we wanted to show you some absolutely phenomenal summer BBQ recipes, but also we wanted to give you some inspiration for non-conventional foods that you may not have thought to throw on the grill. Take a look and we hope you enjoy!
1. Happy Foods Tube‘s Grilled Boneless Chicken Thighs
These awesome chicken thighs are prepared with a garlic and paprika marinade and are best cooked over a charcoal grill. If you’re looking for something tasty and want to change things up a bit from the typical burgers and hotdogs, don’t miss these. Get the recipe here!
2. Great Grub, Delicious Treats‘ BBQ Smoked Sausage Bites
This ridiculously easy recipe just uses two ingredients – smoked sausages and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce! They’re delicious as a complimentary dish to go with some veggies or rice. Get the recipe here!
3. Dinner Then Dessert‘s Brown Sugar Grilled Pineapple
We don’t want to just give you foods to grill that you may have thought of on your own, so here’s a pretty unique one! Hawaiian-inspired cooking uses grilled pineapples quite frequently, but you don’t see it much in traditional western grilling. Try these brown sugar grilled pineapples as a side when grilling some sweeter BBQ’d meats. Get the recipe here!
4. Plain Chicken‘s Whiskey Apple Chicken
Here’s another cool way to make your grilled chicken actually exciting! Whiskey adds even more of a smokey flavor than the grill would normally, so if you like smoke like no joke, try these out! Get the recipe here!
5. Lil Luna‘s Dr. Pepper Ribs
We LOVE to experiment with different flavors, and so we got extra excited when we found Lil Luna’s Dr. Pepper Ribs recipe! Even though it may sound strange and non-traditional (because it isn’t), they’re seriously worth a try. Get the recipe here!
6. Foodie Crush‘s Easy Grilled Vegetables
We mentioned grilled pineapples earlier, and now how about some grilled veggies?! When grilling you tend to eat a lot of meat and carbs (from the buns and whatnot), but it really is important to try to get a balanced meal. These grilled veggies will add some nice color, flavor, and nutrition to your grilling sesh, so be sure to peep it! Get the recipe here!
7. What’s Gabby Cooking‘s Grilled Peaches with Vanilla Ice Cream
When you think of grilling and great summer bbq recipes, we think it’s safe to say you’re probably thinking of MEAT! But like we’ve tried to show so far, there are so many other things that can be grilled. Don’t miss this dessert recipe for grilled peaches with vanilla ice cream! Get the recipe here!
8. Erhardts Eat‘s Grilled Skirt Steak with Chimichurri Sauce
Here’s something a little more traditional – a good ol’ steak – but we dig this recipe because it kind of fancifies (I don’t think that’s a word) the grilling experience and goes to show that grilling doesn’t have to be a big-hunk-of-meat kind of endeavor. Get the recipe here!
9. Tastes Better From Scratch‘s Easy Grilled Pizza
Sure you can oven bake a pizza, but what about grilling?? You betcha. Get the recipe here!
10. Diethood‘s Grilled Steak and Mushroom Foil Packs
If you’re looking for something easy and already pre-portioned, this recipe is perfect. You get some amazing sliced steak and mushrooms in your own foil pack that’s ready to go in no time! Get the recipe here!
11. Saving Room For Dessert‘s Grilled BBQ Pork Tenderloin
Pork tenderloin can be prepared in so many ways, which is why we love it! One of our favorites is using teriyaki, but a more traditional BBQ flavor can also compliment pork super well. Get the recipe here!
12. Half Baked Harvest‘s Honey, Thyme, and Sweet Cherry Grilled Brie
To add to list of things you may not have considered grilling before, try brie! Melted cheese is one of the greatest foods ever, so just imagine warm, melted brie on your crackers or bread. Get the recipe here!
13. Vindulge‘s Grilled Salmon with Orange Maple Glaze
Just like with pork, we love ourselves some teriyaki salmon, and this recipe is along the same lines but using an orange maple glaze. And with a slight char you get much more flavor than a baked salmon. Get the recipe here!
14. Home Cooking Memories‘ Coconut Rum Grilled Shrimp
Last, but not least, we’ve got coconut rum grilled shrimp to continue the seafood trend! It uses coconut milk, lime juice, brown sugar and spiced rum for the awesome flavor and they’re great for a large group. Get the recipe here!
